Virginia has extended yet another offer in the July Evaluation Period window.
The Wahoos are the latest to offer 2020 Fairburn (Ga.) Woodward Academy center Walker Kessler.
UVA joins Auburn, Georgia, Vanderbilt, Florida, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Memphis, Ole Miss, St. John’s, Stanford, Texas A&M, Wake Forest, and Xavier among others in offering the 6-foot-10, 205-pounder, who showed an array of post moves in addition to range beyond the perimeter at the NBA Top 100 Camp hosted at UVA last month.
According to the 247Sports Composite, Kessler is rated five-stars. He’s the No. 4-rated center nationally and the No. 22 overall prospect in the 2020 class.
Here’s an evaluation of Kessler following his performance at NBA Top 100 at UVA in June by 247Sports’ Brian Snow:
“One of the most skilled players in his class, Kessler showed his ability to score inside and out during an impressive run on Friday. At times Kessler is capable of coming off of screens, getting his feet organized and hitting threes, and then he can go inside and score with his back to the basket. Add that Kessler moves pretty well on the defensive end, and there is a ton to like about his long-term upside, and for an underclassman he showed very well for himself at this camp, which historically is dominated by upperclassmen.”
